My then-wife decided to get her boots shined on the street corner.
He was an ancient black guy who looked like Grady from "Sanford
& Son." He looked up from her boots and said to me, "Now,
I don't mind shining her shoes, but I'd a whole lot rather be in your
shoes, with a fine woman like that."
Some
don't know what they just don't know.
